PIARC 2010 XIIIth International Winter Road Congress

Here in Québec, winter lasts from 18 to 25 weeks; the ground freezes to a depth of 1.2 to 3 metres; the number of days with snowfall ranges from 50 to over 100; and daily temperatures can vary as much as 250C. So it comes as no surprise that we have spent so much energy designing materials, techniques and equipment that ensure the durability and safety of our road network, which stretches more than 120,000 km.
